Types of Cancer and the Different Stages of Cancer Types of Cancers •Cancer can begin in different parts of the body like organs, glands, on the skin, tissues, muscles, bones, and blood system. •Cancer affects different organs: lung cancer (affects lungs), colon cancer (affects the colon), skin cancer( affects the skin), and breast cancer( affects the breast). •When a cancer affects the blood it is called leukemia. In leukemia the white blood cells don’t act properly, normally white blood cells help fight illnesses but, if their are too many than they don’t work. Different Stages of Cancer •Stage one is when the cancer cells have not spread. •Stage two is when the small cancer begins to spread to nearby tissue and other parts of the body. •Stage three is when the cancer becomes larger while spreading to nearby tissue. •Stage four is when the large cancer has spread to other parts of the body and organs. by ADITI SHUKLA
