Breast cancer can be diagnosed at an early stage when clinical breast examination is performed at regular intervals. Clinical breast examination can reduce deaths due to breast cancer and it is a good strategy for early diagnosis of breast cancer in developing countries and in particular for women more then 50 years of age. This has recently been shown by one of the trials conducted in India.
